This is one of my favorite recipes for when I am just wanting something yummy and comfortable to eat, especially in the winter. This recipe is great when paired with a starch like cooked rice or potatoes. This is also another good recipe for when you do not have a lot of time. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 2-4 boneless chicken breasts $4-5
- 1 tsp garlic powder $1-2
- 1 tsp onion powder $1-2
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes $1-2
- 2 garlic cloves minced $1-2
- 1/2 tsp paprika $1-2
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning $1-2
- 1/2 stick of butter $1-2
- 1/2 cup lemon juice $1-2
- 1/3 chicken broth $3-4
- Zest of half a lemon $2-3
- Salt and pepper to taste $1-2

Instructions
- Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Poke slits in chicken with a knife
- Combine chicken broth, lemon juice, and zest and add it to the slow cooker.
- Combine garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle spice mixture over chicken.
- Put butter and garlic cloves on top of chicken.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours.
- Serve.
