Slow Cooker Baked Ziti

This is a really good recipe if you don’t have a lot of time. You can just throw the ingredients in and walk away (stirring occasionally of course). It is also a recipe with a short and simple ingredient list and is relatively cheap. This meal is perfect for a small, medium or even a large family if made in higher quantities. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried ziti pasta $3-4
  • 48 oz marinara sauce (such as Prego) $3-4
  • 1 15 oz container whole milk ricotta cheese $4-5
  • Cooking spray $3-4
  • 2 cups shredded or grated mozzarella cheese $2-4
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese $3-4

Servings: 6-8

Cost: $20-25

Directions

  1. Spray a 6-quart or larger slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Add pasta (uncooked), marinara sauce, half of the mozzarella cheese (1 cup), and half of the parmesan cheese (1/2 cup) and stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 1-2 hours or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. During the last 30 minutes of cooking add the remaining cheese.
  5. Serve.
